Kik Undercover Investigations
As law enforcement it is pivotal to stay on the cutting edge of investigations stemming from online activity. At the top of the list for such activity is Kik Messenger. Kik has become one of the most prolific applications for criminal activity. From child predators, drug and arms dealers to gang activity, Kik Messenger is being utilized by criminals throughout the world to circumvent otherwise standard modes of communication. Like any online environment, Kik has its own set of social norms but, when exploited, can be utilized by law enforcement to enhance investigations. This webinar will cover how you set up an undercover Kik account, engage potential suspects in relevant local Kik groups and maintain an undercover persona specific to Kik's platform. Your instructor, Lt. “One of the most relevant training classes I’ve had in 21 years. Found a missing juvenile this morning using some of the resources you provided.” Corona, California Student 2022
“Honestly, this is one of the best course I have taken. It is extremely practical, and you cut out a lot of the BS that LE courses tend to come with. No bullshit just good knowledge. I can't think of anything else that you didn't cover. This is so much good new content that I spent a lot of time on typing out notes, so I can go over the notes again.” Corona, California Student 2022
“A lot of valuable information was presented in a very short period of time. I truly found the class beneficial and would highly recommend it to all police personnel as the trend has become that more crime is being committed with clues and evidence located on the internet and woven into social media.” Shelton, CT Student 2022
