This comprehensive course is designed specifically for School Resource Officers (SROs) to develop the skills needed to conduct effective social media investigations within a school setting. Participants will learn to identify, analyze, and respond to potential threats, cyberbullying, and other inappropriate behaviors occurring on social media platforms. Through practical exercises, case studies, and real-world scenarios, SROs will gain hands-on experience with social media tools, understanding platform policies, and navigating legal considerations related to digital evidence collection and privacy.
The course emphasizes strategies for building trust with students and staff to encourage reporting and effective collaboration. Attendees will leave equipped to proactively address issues, safeguard students, and foster a safer online and school environment.
