Participants will delve into the intricacies of creating and managing credible undercover accounts, identifying and engaging suspects in online environments, and gathering admissible digital evidence. Through interactive modules, legal case reviews, live demonstrations, and real-time account creation exercises, officers will gain practical experience and actionable skills. The course also explores the latest legal developments affecting online investigations, including privacy concerns, entrapment defenses, and evidence admissibility. Participants will conduct hands-on exercises to begin building a functional undercover identity from the ground up and will be introduced to key tools, apps, and databases that assist in suspect identification and digital evidence collection

This course delivers the advanced skills and foundational techniques necessary to conduct legal, ethical, and highly effective online investigations—supporting successful prosecutions and safeguarding vulnerable communities.
Students will be given a FREE list of investigative resources in the class and shown numerous free databases/resources during the class.
